Strengthen patent knowledge training to lay a solid foundation for enterprises’ innovative development.

In today’s highly competitive business environment, patents—being a key element of a company’s core competitiveness—are becoming increasingly important.

To comprehensively enhance employees' knowledge of patents and help enterprises strengthen their core capabilities in technological innovation and intellectual property protection, on the afternoon of April 29, Seagull Housing Industry specially invited Zuo Bangsheng, a patent agent from Hua Jin United Patent & Trademark Agency Co., Ltd., to conduct a training course titled "Patent Basics and Practice" for employees.

This training session has received high attention and enthusiastic response from all departments within the company. The training adopts a blended online-and-offline approach, with over 60 employees participating. In addition, many employees from other departments who are keenly interested in patent knowledge have also proactively signed up.

During the training session, instructor Zuo Bangsheng leveraged his profound professional knowledge and extensive practical experience to deliver a clear and insightful explanation based on the course syllabus. In the "Understanding Patents" segment, the instructor provided a detailed overview of the three types of patents— inventions, utility models, and industrial designs—as well as their key characteristics, including territoriality, temporality, and exclusivity, enabling employees to gain a clear and comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts of patents. In the "Role of Patents" section, the instructor used numerous vivid corporate case studies to thoroughly analyze the crucial roles patents play in protecting companies' rights, restraining competitors, demonstrating R&D capabilities, facilitating government project applications, supporting company IPOs, and promoting product differentiation. The instructor also emphasized the significance of patents in validating individual R&D achievements and aiding in professional title applications, greatly boosting employees' awareness and enthusiasm for patent-related work. Addressing common misconceptions about patents, the instructor patiently and meticulously debunked erroneous beliefs such as "Only large corporations need patents" and "Only high-tech patents are valuable," guiding employees toward adopting a correct perspective on patents. In the sections covering practical aspects like patent infringement determination, patent search and retrieval, and disclosure preparation, the instructor combined real-world examples with theoretical explanations, providing step-by-step guidance on both theory and practice, making complex patent-related knowledge accessible and easy to understand.

During the training, employees were fully engaged, attentively listening and actively taking notes on key points. In the interactive session, everyone eagerly asked questions and had in-depth discussions with the instructor about patent-related issues encountered in their daily work. The atmosphere at the scene was lively and enthusiastic. Many employees remarked that this training was like a timely rain— it not only filled numerous gaps in their knowledge of patent law but also provided clear guidance and practical methods for their future work, leaving them greatly benefited.

This "Patent Basics and Practice" training is an important initiative by Haigou Zhugong to strengthen the company's intellectual property development and promote innovative growth. Through this training, employees' patent awareness and professional capabilities have been effectively enhanced, laying a solid foundation for the company to build a more comprehensive intellectual property protection system, stimulate innovation vitality, and enhance its core competitiveness. In the future, the company will continue to organize diverse and specialized training activities, constantly broadening employees' knowledge horizons and improving their overall competence, thereby helping the company sail smoothly and steadily toward long-term success on the path of innovative development.
